Lists for Writers App Reviews

This was an incredibly useful set of lists. I was happy with list of adverbs, dialog tags etc. but then theres all kinds of other tidbits, like types of plots, dramatic situations, and more. Fantastic book, chock full of awesomeness!

These lists are missing an open theme category: journey, sisterhood, retribution, joy ...

One of the biggest problems I have while writing is coming up with names, and the names list really helps with that! One issue I have though is the amount of information this app has, it simply isnt enough. It would be great if there was a community that could add and suggest new content for the lists, and whole new list all together. That would get 5 stars from me.

I am surprised by the very positive reviews this app has garnered. The content could fit on a few napkins. It consists of nothing more than 37 categories, each with a list of words or phrases. Some lists are very brief - the Conflicts list has eight entries (man against man, man against nature,...) and Id hazard to say that none are useful to a professional writer. The list of names, which might have been useful, is merely a long, alphabetical list, unsorted by ethnicity or year of popularity. There are much better resources available on the internet, or in books. This app is not worth the money, or even the screen space.

This has to be one of the most well complied collection of things any creative writer can ultilize!

This is a great app, especially for those of us who have some difficulty thinking of dialog words to replace "said" and "asked" every now and again.

I use this app every time I need information for my writing, its money well spent.

Very clean and nice, but most importantly, very helpful. Descriptions and character details are a breeze with this app!

This program is not worth the money, its just substituting words, but only gives you a list of words. This has no structure.

I highly recommend this app for ALL writers - professional or not!! Its helped me write my stories and develop my characters more, and it will surely do the same for you! :D this is highly deserving of 5 stars!!

As a writer and lover of fun facts, this app is right up my alley. I dont usually buy paid apps, but this one is worth its price. Its very useful for times like when you realize youve used "said" thirteen times in the past 500 words and you begin to worry how many times you can simply cut a dialogue tag without it being confusing, or if youre searching for a throwaway name for a background character. Dont be put off by the price, this is a very useful, well-designed app.

My sister said this would be a waste because you can find these online, but this is SO helpful!!

Really useful starting resource for writers. I adore this app so much. Id love to see an update with a list for medical conditions and parts of buildings (overhang, terrace, etc)
