I wasnt entirely convinced the reviews were honest, but as a very quick go to, it certainly helps keep me focused when I hit a brief block when creating characters or possible scenarios. One other reviewer said it wont write for you, which is true, but the randomizer really helps add some flavor to whatever it is you are working on, so long as you utilize it in tandem with your own creative process.

This app features various lists, some of which can serve as prompts and inspiration, or can be used to flesh out a character that has already been created. Whether you use these lists to create a new concept or expand upon older ideas, it is useful and excellent for any writer. I find myself using this app frequently.

Or should I say "fantabulous" or "marvelous"? So many words to choose from! I write ALL the time, but I often find myself reaching for a thesaurus because Im tired of using the same old word. Lists for Writers solves that problem and then some. I also used to spend hours searching for names - enough that my search history looked like I was trying to name a baby - which I no longer have to do. This app is a lifesaver and a timesaver!

This helped me so much in my writing. There are so many lists with so much information. This is the cure to writers block! 5 stars all the way!

Its a great app, perfect for all of those who create stories, even if those stories are in the form of an RP, seeing theres a list of powers. Its a useful app, but I think it could have more lists. Some British jargon to go along with that Aussie slang, please.

I wish I could give this app 1,000 stars!! I love love love writing! But sometimes it gets hard to come up with names or jobs. With this app I can do that and so much more. The only things I wish this app had are story beginnings and plot twists. Plot twists are the best! Anyway it is definitely worth the $2.99. I hope you enjoy it writers. I know I do.

The lists are all very useful. I wish that the name lists had name meanings and countries or origin.

I praise this app. Although it just offers a lot of "puzzle pieces" for the author to create his own "puzzle" or "picture," it helps. Wanna write a unique story now? I highly recommend this app.

I got this app thinking it would be more of a character development organizer based off the images and description. That concept sounded like the app of my dreams. But alas all I received were useless lists I could easily achieve for free off the internet. It would have been nice if I were able to click on a category and then type in character information instead of having to skip over to the notes section every time. I know what you are thinking: "Why dont you just use a notebook instead of the notes section then? Then it would not only be much faster for you but more organized. Plus, typing on an Iphone is a grueling process nomatter how you look at it, Soubs37484488484." Well, that may be true, but let me tell you what else is true: carrying around a notebook at all times is terrible. It would be nice to put everything into something as small and transportable as an Iphone. It would be way better than having 200 notebooks or notepads for 200 different stories. If you are of the 15% of the American population that has no access to internet, bless your soul, then just maybe this app is for you. For the rest of you, this app is nothing the world hasnt seen before and is overpriced. Even after trying to use this in my usual writing for the past few days it has done basically nothing for me.

This is by far the most exhaustive list app for writers that I have seen. A great idea generator when Im feeling stuck!

Its a handy app that you really dont think youll actually use until youre sitting there, pen in hand, mind blank. Saved my butt time and time again when I hit small blocks.

This app is fun to look through, but considering it costs money, I think I ought to note that you can find pretty much all of this on the web for free. Usually I end up looking through the names/plots/etc. and not using them. The layout is very nice. It would be helpful if you could select & copy multiple items at once. The descriptions in the plot section could be improved.

Sometimes its helpful. One thing: This definitely needs definitions to all the words, like when you click on the word it should bring you to the definition. This would be VERY helpful. And since I already bought the app, I cant send it back, because, well thats not possible. Id like it to be more in depth. Otherwise its a jumble of words you hope to spark a brainstorm. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE update this app so I can be happy with it Thanks, Management (Lol

Im surprised at how helpful these lists are! The way theyre organized seems to work for me. Theyre very complete, and I think this will continue to be a very helpful app as time goes by.

Essential for any writer. Im indecisive when it comes to naming just about anything, and this app always comes in handy. I normally dont get apps that cost anything but I would pay much more than I did to get this.
